This blend was used by a Canadian nurse, Rene Caisse in the 1920s. Named after her (spelled backwards) She treated a lot of her patients with success. Since then this four herb blend has remained a staple.

 

Better overall energy will be noticed with this blend due to the high iron content in Burdock. It is a blood builder and liver cleanser which in turn makes the immune system kick in.

Organic Essiac Tea

  • Use 1 quart of water per 1 oz of herbs

     

    PREPARATION:

    • Boil 1 quart of fresh spring or distilled water in a stainless steel pot
    • Stir in 1 oz (by weight) of tea and cover pot
    • Boil 10 minutes
    • Remove from heat and stir. Cover and let sit for 12 hrs at room temperature.
    • Stir, cover, and bring to a boil again. Once boiling, remove from heat.
    • Strain through a fine mesh colander or cheese cloth.
    • Transfer cooled down infusion into a glass container and close.
    • Refrigerate. Infusion will stay fresh for 2-3 weeks if refrigerated.

     

    DRINKING DIRECTIONS:

    Serving size: 4 oz

    • Shake tea to mix well. Add 2 oz of refrigerated tea to 2 oz hot water.
    • Drink on an empty stomach 1-2x a day. Morning and/or before bedtime.
